Transaction 1 (dated November 18, 1862) involves John Hopkins of New Hanover County, NC, selling the enslaved individuals Antony, mother Julia and her unnamed child to W. S. Ennett. Transaction 2 (dated November 28, 1862) in the entry involves W. S. Ennett selling the enslaved individual Antony, mother Julia and her unnamed child[ren?] to W. D. Sparkman. The seperator markings used within the deed book to indicate different entires encompasses Transactions 1 & 2 (outlined above) together into the same entry.
